Mitch grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona where he fell in love with kayaking, backpacking and just about everything else there is to do outside. Since moving to the Midwest, Mitch has continued to explore trails and rivers throughout the country. His greatest adventures include roaming with grizzlies and caribou on a NOLS course in Canada’s Yukon Territory, swimming with dolphins while studying abroad in New Zealand, and guiding backpacking trips in southwestern Colorado and Utah. He sees the outdoors as a place where you can discover what is truly important in life while exploring a little bit about oneself along the way. Contrary to popular demand, he enjoys dried pineapple and Reese’s pieces over M&M’s and raisins in his trail mix any day of the week. Sorry GORP.
Adrianne is the current social media marketing intern at OMM. If you can like it, share it, pin it, or post it, she has most likely had a hand in it. Adrianne has been lucky enough to live in places like south east Alaska, Washington D.C., and southern Utah; though her favorite by far, has been her home on the Western Slope of the Colorado Rockies. She has a deep love for most things mountain related including but not limited to hiking, backpacking, biking and skiing, both alpine and cross country. Adrianne is currently a full-time wanderluster, vegetarian, yoga junkie and business communications student at Northeastern.
Megan grew up in White Lake, Michigan (yup, its as diverse as it sounds) and has been traversing around the country and world since 2008. The seeds to an obsessive lust for international travel were planted on study abroad trips to Ireland and Australia, and she has fulfilled her fascination with constant movement by relocating to various cities in the U.S. pretty dang regularly. Austin, Chicago, and currently Boulder have all earned the title of “home base” in between trips abroad. Her studly Labrador Retriever, Jameson, keeps her feet firmly planted on U.S. soil most of the time, and she’s okay with that: he’s the perfect hiking buddy and he’s super good looking by dog standards. She blogs about her travel and adventure shenanigans at meganhettwer.com and you can catch her on Twitter at @megkhet. She promises she won’t write awkwardly in the third person on either of those mediums.
Kyle is an enthusiastic explorer of land and space. His cravings for new experiences and his obsession with outdoor travel pushed him to go cave diving in the Yucatan Peninsula, bouldering in Joe’s Valley, Utah, and cycling across Western Europe. After many willing steps into the jaws of peril, he came to a life-changing realization: it’s not worth crossing off your bucket list unless you’re also puking in the bucket. Kyle relocated to Denver, where adventure is often closer than the convenience store. Follow @Kyle_Vines on Twitter for action and drama.
Kim lives moment to moment. She is obsessed with exploring this expansive Earth and is taking on the challenge one expedition at a time. When she’s not on the road you can find her experimenting with new recipes, cheering on the LSU Tigers, or or seeking out new adventures closer to home. Some of her favorite travels include hitch-hiking through Yellowstone National Park, wandering Las Vegas with the Travel Channel and cycle touring through Western Europe.
